Info needed on a German slot

What power plug is on your slot ?  This would give you a good indication of what power its expecting.....

That is not European.
Its a North American 220 plug.

Here is the standard German type F plug.
The other Euro standard is type C which is similar but doesn't have the male ground sticking out of the wall.
You can use a non grounded Type C in a German type F outlet.

Given your earlier pic of the back of the machine that shows 220 in, and the plug on the end of it.
I would be pretty confident to say you have a 220v machine.

the adaptor I suggested in an earlier post should work for you...I am pretty sure your original plug end was changed out to an US 220v plug...that is the same one I changed my out to and changed out my dryer 220 to a matching female connector so I could just plug it in directly...Walla...My machine was up and running!...I then made a extension cord for it...Easy pee zee

That’s more of a temp fix, my laundry room is way too small for this thing. It’d be much easier to not be limited by outlets.

I think the solution is a lot simpler.
A transformer has 3 leads on one side for AC (hot, neutral,ground)
The output on the opposite side is typically 2 leads for DC (positive/ground)
12v/24v/48v are your typical DC outputs.

All you need to do is measure the output voltage from the transformer and swap out your 220/24 with a 110/24 (I’m making up the 24v part) because I don’t know, that’s why you need to measure it with a meter, but it’s a $18 part and should take you 20min to do it.

AC poser is dirty meaning that your typical 110 power fluctuates from 108-120. Subsequently the DC voltage fluctuates as well. That is why the power supply has big capacitors, bridge rectifiers, etc .
The slot will likely use a variety of voltages etc and the power supply would break down the input voltage to your typical 12v, 9v, 5v used for electronics.

The good news is that stuff is all in place and you simply need to swap out the main transformer with one that matches the dc input voltage.

From there cut off the plug and put on a standard North American cord end.

The step up transformer unit you purchased has all of those fancy parts in it and is great for temporary use when a friend comes to visit from Europe but when it’s dedicated to one application your better off to swap the transformer and be done with it.

Thank you for this. I’m swapping out the power plug hopefully today. After o do that, should I disconnect the wiring leading from the transformer so that I can test the power and not have it damage anything?

The way it stands you need 220v to fire up your slot and your going to need power to measure the DC output voltage on the transformer unless its marked on the transfomer.

I've done this for my German slots.  Search eBay and/or Amazon for "220V Portable Transformer".  A good transformer will be in a metal case and have multiple outlets for 220V, and a US-style 110V plug to attach to your wall outlet. If you purchase the correct model, you won't even need to change your plugs, and keep the machine original.  I've attached typical pictures from Google Images.

As I look at your second photo in the upper right corner, it appears your machine has some surge protection.  If this is damaged, it may create an open or short which will keep your machine from receiving power.  On some older machines, I found it could be safely bypassed.
