Hopper seems frozen IGT S

Ok so I am troubleshooting a quarter hopper on an old coral reef IGT. the code it is throwing is 3300 hopper empty but whats happening is that I can hear the hopper trying to engage and its not being successful. Now as this isnt my machine I was starting with the hopper and hoping it wasnt the board so I brought it home and plugged it into my working machine and its still doing the same thing. the motor moves and I have torn the hopper down to try and get to the drive gears alas there is one screw in back that is beating me up. I will achieve victory over said screw but what if anything should I look for when I go through the gear mechanism.

Check for a jammed coin. They can get way up under the knife almost hard to find. Good luck.

Thats what I was hoping to find right now I have it torn down all the way to the drive plate and the plastic housing with one screw daring to be difficult once I get it out I can hopefully get them apart
