On the wiring diagram I have a 40 wire sitting in the hopper plug #6. The only 40 wire is in the payout relay to the motor, override solenoid, on the hopper. I have a safety timing motor that is in the cabinet, it might be where the 40 wire is coming from to the hopper.

I have been working on the hopper, systems check only. The motor is running, winner light works, etc.

Today I plugged in the slot machine, and I am pleased with my progress.
All three meters are working.

So, I hooked up the green wire to the hopper motor and now it's shutting down the machine per Bally's instructions, I attached the green wire to the payout motor wire. The light on the timer doesn't work, obviously it's burned out.

I am checking out the payouts, hopper, and it works, I just am on the diagnosis, on off only for now.

The issues are:
The winner light doesn't shut off, and the payout doesn't reset. They obviously go hand in hand. I will need to diagnose the issue, it's nothing probably.

Coin in and the coil handle release is working.

So this is the drawing of the circuit for the reset, win light. I need to diagnose everything in the circuit. I will start with the solenoid, move on from that part.

Another thing, I use blue tape for the locations of the winner locations on the reels for testing. Each reel has only one location for each winner.

Easy peasy. I located a open switch, someone bent the hell out of  it, obviously I didn't service it when I was rebuilding the hopper. 
You do have to admit the hopper looks great.

Wolftalk is really helpful with my Bally slot machines.

Working on the drive lever assembly. Restoration of the reels is ongoing Wolftalk gave me some excellent advice on the drive lever assembly, so I have a 25 wheel disc going into this reel assembly and I needed to see if the old drive levers would work. Fortunately, I have a slot machine that has the 25 wheel disc and I used it for testing. I determined that #3 had to much play, even on the other old 22 wheel disc it had an issue that I was going to eventually address. I put a shim in it that I made and it spins perfectly.

well, maybe not the wobble on reel 1, but I'm sure you'll bend the spokes on the reel tin to straighten it and eliminate the scaping noise.

I don't know what the difference is on the drive levers ... just know the parts manual has different parts numbers for 20, 22 and 25 stop games.

the index disc diameter is 1/8" larger on 22/25 stop machines, but otherwise I think the reel tins and the hub are the same for same width tins/tapes. 

if you have a known 25 stop drive level and 20 stop drive lever, I'd be curious what the distance is from the center of the shaft hole to the center of the drive peg on each one.
