One good thing about tar and nicotine.
It protects and preserves the parts.
Plus it’s evidence that the machine hasn’t been messed with for a long time.
Most likely just sat in a state of non-operation.

The tar and nicotine are a reminder of an era of everyone who smoked (1972). All I have done is restore, repair, clean and service the slot machine. My goal is not to destroy the aged look. I sourced the original 5¢ glass for the machine

The top candle was in a jar in pieces, fortunately everything was inside of the jar. This must of been the original candle with all of grime, fit perfectly in place.

Installing the door switch, it was missing. The upper cabinet is completed, I blended in the paint covering up the issues.

We're moving on getting things done.
The door assembly, I discovered two connections on the light fixture was bad, I put it back the way it's supposed to be, and not shoddy crap. I'm replacing the bulbs, putting back the cash box switch.

I rekeyed a lock for the door, same key as the rest of the slot machines. The machine locking assembly really needed cleaning.

Next is the belly glass, I purchased the machine with the Fremont Hotel, however the glass was in piss poor condition. Luckily I have found another one from some trailer trash in Anchorage. Yes he's definitely trailer trash, see photos.

We'll, I have dug through my parts and found a win meter, win meter bracket exactly for this machine, all of the holes match up. I am going to use the  Molex connector on the meters in the cabinet.

I found a spring like the handle assembly used, I checked out the assembly, and it has everything. Sometimes I take my spare parts apart and drop something just to find it later.  :Scratch-Head:
