Nevada Game Draw Poker

HI All,
sorry I didn't see a Nevada Games group topic so I'm posting here.

If anyone has a 1982 or 83' Nevada Games Draw poker machine I'm just curious if the machine makes more sound than what I have heard so far.

Listen to the attachment its just a hand being delt.... kind of lame.

I know there's also a small boot chime but I didn't capture it before it crapped out.

I could have sworn I heard a coin-in sound once but I might have imagined it.

If they are working….take the win.
There just isn’t any knowledge Base on these machines and if you start messing with them anything could happen.
You might try a simple removal and cleaning of the electrical connectors. If I recall the audio potentiometer is on the right side when you Pull the board out, try cleaning that, check capacitors.

There is one NLG member who knows a little bit about those but he is rarely on.

OK now you opened a can of rabbit hole:-)
 
on the 83 pcb I already changed a couple chips and caps and one pot, then got tired of it, just kept getting nothing.

At that point I swapped in the 82 board and that one had sound but no video. 
Only one transformer of the two machines works.
Then I made a dumb mistake and turned the pot and lost the sound

The reason I'm asking if there are more sounds to the machine is because I'm definitely scrapping one of them to make it a multigame machine.

But I'm thinking of scrapping both if there are no extra sounds to the game,  but if there's some more sound it might be worth saving the machine just for nostalgia/history sake. 

Without sound the game is lame and not worth saving.

Both boards are flakey the 82's video started working today after several days of nothing.

The 83 I soke tested one night for several hours with a fan blowing on it open-door at the end of the night the video went out.

Also the 83 when I bought it the lady said it wasn't working and I tested it at her house,  when I got it home suddenly it was working after years of nothing at her house.   So ya I'm getting tired of them and might upgrade both.  Yes messing with it is risky, I've pulled a couple pads while soldering new components.

Lastly I only bought one to make it into a multigame anyway, the second one was oddly enough given to me by a friend that I bought a sigma from.  Crazy just happened by accident all in one day.  So I started messing with them cause I had nothing to do while waiting for the multigame modules

Im pretty sure both should have sound but I use the word “sound” loosely. More of bloops and blips if I recall correctly.
Spray that pot with electronics cleaner….never lubricant. Those connector pins are all suspect….get some spray deoxit.
I had one of those games and every deal the machine errored, but then reset and proceeded.
I gave up and sold it for cheap.

I don’t like to hijack a topic but while we are discussing the mystery of Games of Nevada machines:

gabe873, any chance you can attach a picture of the inside where the wiring come in on the left, where the fuses and switch are?
I was given one of these machines and the wiring looks wrong. The hot wire goes directly to the power switch while the neutral goes to a fuse! Gee, what could possibly go wrong!
