Blade bb3 has bass but speakers just below monitor not working

This blade has sound but only from the Bass speaker.  There are no mids, highs, or any other sound coming from the speakers just below the monitor. I do get the 'pop' when turning on and off the machine from the bass speaker only.  Still nothing from the 2 speakers below the monitor.   I've tried 2 games, Willy Wonka and Reel Rainbows and both have same sound issues so I dont think its a bad copy of Wonka.

There is no connector on the backplane board in the green 8 pin connector.  There is a rca like cable(SPDIF) coming from the brainbox to the amp.  The connections from the amp to the speakers appear solid.  Is it a potential issue with the amp?

Thanks for the reply.  All 3 speakers have just 2 wires each.  I've attached pics of the tweeter, bass and amp connections.

You have two options to test those speakers themselves.

The first option would be to unplug them from the harness and put your meter across the two wires going to each speaker and do an OHM test and see if the speakers are open, or if you get a reading. No reading and the speakers are probably bad.

The second option is to unplug the speaker and hook up either an AA battery tapping the wires to the battery to see if you hear a clicking noise, or possibly a coin cell 3 volt battery. You must make sure you are disconnected from the AMP to do this. If you hear a clicking noise you know the tweeters are good and your problem is elsewhere. You could possibly have a wire connection also.

There is a speaker test option under the diagnostic test menu in the game. 

If the speakers test good and the wiring is good your problem is elsewhere.

Very cool test for the speakers.  Thank you.  I did both suggested methods of testing and both determine the speakers are bad!  To satisfy my curiosity I tested the known good speaker with both methods just to make sure I was seeing this correctly. 

I haven't taken the speakers out yet but I'd bet they are sealed so I would need replacement speaker assemblies for a blade.

I have some for s2000 machines.  So I'll give that a whirl.
