Trouble completing setup on alpha after ram clear

so I just nvram clear on my newly acquired alpha s9000 black gold 3 reel. I set up all the settings exactly as I found it previous to the clear. The problem is now that I can't get the error "invalid progressive amount" and "game setup not complete" to go away.


I am pretty new at this but made sure to follow a YouTube video posted on this site exactly to the "T". The only thing I did differently is to set the progressives up as the PDFs states for my game. It did not have a "contribution" amount listed and the YouTube video stated that it did not matter what was there. I kept my numbers low to make sure it wouldn't cause any issues. How do I get this reset and working without spending hours more on the machine tinkering?

Can you tell me the Program number as I cannot find a Black Gold 3 Reel listed only 5 reel

The bally progressive settings are dependent on 3 things.


1.  Game program.
2.  Denomination
3.  Max bet

Based on your amounts from above, your game needs to have nickel denomination with 9 lines and 5 max bet per line.  Then your progressive settings would work.  After a clear you can change that in your "game setup" section.  You need to make sure your denomination and your max bet (i.e. lines x maxbet per line) whenever you copy old settings.  If you want to change that, then this is what I find for the 3 reel black gold game.



JP0 = 4,000 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP1 = 200 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP2 = 100 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP3 = 20 x Max Bet x Denomination
JP4 = 10 x Max Bet x Denomination

I made sure to set it up just like I saw prior to resetting the game. In my version, the max bet is 45 credits at 5 cents per credit. Using that logic is how I setup the progressives as below:


4000 x 45 x 0.05 = 9000.00
200 x 45 x 0.05 = 450.00
100 x 45 x 0.05 = 225.00
20 x 45 x 0.05 = 45.00
10 x 45 x 0.05 = 22.50


I used game table "O" from the pdf.


The only variable I can find with the progressives is the contribution amount. Is there a threshold not to go above?


Any other ideas what might not be configured correctly?

Did you assign the progressive settings to the paytable.  Look at this video here at the 4:50 mark or so after the progressive tables have been set.

Make sure your "max bet" is maximum pay lines multiplied by max credits per line. (i.e. example:  25 lines @ 10 credits per line would be a max bet of 250 credits. This would be 4000 x 250 x 0.05 = $50,000.00 for the top JP.

Did you get this going or do you still need help? Some OS setup the progressives differently but the idea is the same.
