Hey, guys, just a heads up...
After all the hand-wringing, and consternation, I changed the battery, borrowed a hopper and (with reservations) hit the "on" switch. I am WAY pleased to say that the darned thing booted, did a 61, then ran like a champ.
I will now search out the parts to make it original, and enjoy the heck out of it.
I have to say that I am humbled by the help offered on the forum. This is something I'm really pleased to have discovered and joined.
