Author Topic: I Game + Will not Key Chip (Read 2344 times)

I have an I-Game + machine that I haven't used in over 6 months. When I went to turn it on the other day I found that the battery was dead.
I changed the battery and at the same time I figured that I would change it over to a new theme. I took out the "Pharaohs Fortune" chip set
and installed a "Hexbreaker" chips set. I installed my Key 17 chip in place of the Base chip and then installed the tray into the machine. I turned on
the power and waited for the 2 amber lights to come on. When the lights came on I took out the tray and removed the Key Chip and put in the Base
chip. I reinstalled the tray and turned on the power. After doing the turn the key and the push the button for 2-3 seconds routine several times the
machine came up to the play screen where it told me that the accounting and denominations had to be set and it would not play. The machine NEVER
came up to the Key Chip Menu. I did this several times and it always boots up to the game and never goes to the Key chip menu. I know the Key Chip
is good because I just used it in my "Denver Duck" Reel Touch.
Whats wrong?

Try using Key 22. More than likely Key 17 isn't compatible with your software.

I have over 20 different games for this machine and I have always used the Key 17 Chip. It always worked before but now it won't after I changed out
the dead battery.

we always use a 22 key

I picked up a Key 22 from a friend and it worked. Not sure why my other Key Chip stopped working but Thanks for the Help.
