IGT Gen 2 Netplex Printer ISSUE with Gameking 6.2

I bought a gen 2 netplex printer for my IGT GameKing 6.2 upright machine because the printer that came with it was going bad and eventually just kept giving wrong paper / sensor errors and not printing.

The gen 2 printer worked the first several times when I installed it with no problem. Then it started jamming and giving me errors. Please see photos with explanations:




Error it is giving me when it jams.





Where the paper is at when it jams. It's not getting caught on any wires or anything.





This is the printer open and where the paper is at when it jams. I've tried cleaning everything inside as much as I could. It seemed to help a little as I printed about 20 in a row fine, then the issue happened again next morning.

Top 2 tickets printed and jammed. The bottom ticket printed without a jam but still has a little squished text in that one spot.




The ONLY other thing I can think of is maybe the paper is old? I got it when I bought the used machine about 2 years ago, the guy gave me extra paper. But would "old" paper cause a jam?

Also if anyone can point me to a place where the netplex printers are sold brand new please?

Yeah, I've had those issues with old paper as well.  i would also clean the rubber rollers with water to get rid of dirt that might be causing it to slip.

I cleaned the entire inside with alcohol including the rollers.

The seller was very nice and agreed to exchange this one. If the issue still happens I'll get new paper off ebay.

How long is paper usually good for once out of the seal?

I noticed on some of the of the paper is very faint and very small yellowing in random spots mostly on the edges. Is that an indicator of the age?
