S2000 slows down at certain times

This, i'm sure, is a strange situation and probably a strange question.
 
I have a DDDeluxe (2004)  that tends to pause, for up to 3 seconds, at certain times ( no rhyme or reason) when playing the machine.  It has an SB100089 New Jersey Casino chip.
The pause doesn't seem to effect the game play, just pauses periodically.  Any suggestions ??

All of the S2000s will do this, even in the casino.
I believe it is when the data from the last 30 or 40 spins is being uploaded to the MPU history information.

They have different jurisdictions the play is the same.
Sometimes the different chip will have other sounds available on them. I don't know about the DDdlx, RB is the expert on that subject.
