in the video, the cash box door switch wires are twisted together, and the belly door  switch is also bypassed. what you see in the video happens with 2 different boards.  i hope the video can explain better than i can what is going on ..thanks

Like I have said before your optics are mis adjusted or theMPU is toast. Have you tried adjusting the optics.
I know you were playing with bypass, did you do that?
Please answer the questions and we can help you. You never have answered these directly you keep diverting and talking about other issues.

Mike, I agree with qbert... You could have a problem with the optics, either out of adjustment, or the main board (the MPU) is bad.. I had to replace the MPU in a machine that was doing the same thing.. To check the optics adjustment, I put a piece of blue tape on the door, just outside of where the optics are with the latch in the down position and mark the tape with a line. Then I do the same on the cabinet, put a piece of tape on the outside of where the optics are mounted and mark a line.. Now close the door and latch it, the marks need to be lined up, if they are not then you need to loosen the screws and adjust your optics.. I would also check the wires on the doors optics for any wire chaffing.. Your problem is related to one of these two problems..

the optics line up, and if i go to the optics test, it passes. when open, 0 . when closed alternating 0and 1's.  you can move the lever up quite a bit till it shows open, its not like it barely makes.  in game ready mode, when you raise the lever, you get closure B flashing in the display. thats odd.  i tried to bypass the optics, and didnt get it right. i see a lot of methods, but i guess i need it explained like a six year old.   it looks like you disconnect the receiver and transmitter, and connect the splices to the plugs the receiver and transmitter plug into ?

i might be dense, i dont see it clearly.

Well I'm the wrong person to ask about by passing the optics, since I still use them. It's sounding more and more like your MPU has a problem.

OK door open B is the cash box. Where have you twisted the wires together at? If you twisted them by the door itself the wires may be broken further back from years of flexing. Try following the wires back behind the cash box, cut and twist them together there.
I am also not a fan of bypassing door optics, I think they get a bad rap due to people just don't adjust them correctly and many MPU boards that are bad from battery spluge which bypass won't fix either.

thats a good point about the cash box wires, but if i untwist them i get a different message . cant remember exactly what it was but it was different. that makes me think the wiring is intact

Key here is intermittent every time that door moves it bends those wires bypass it behind the cash box. It's cleaner and you can remove that mess of wires and switch up front. It's never going back in a casino gut the useless wiring.

When you untwist the wire closure B should be the only message you get. If it's something else let us know.

That cash box wire is first on my list of things to go. I pull it right out the back of the cash box, then cut off the excess wire. Strip the two back and I solder them together, then seal the wires with shrink wrap or a crimp on cap.

Looks typical of an acid damaged MPU board to me.

You stated that you have tried 2 different boards.  First question - have you removed the Viarta battery from BOTH the boards ??
second question - when you say you 'twisted' the wires together, are you sure you have a GOOD and TIGHT electrical connection AND did you insulate the wires to keep them from touching ? 
 You need to answer these questions so we can help you.  (Not trying to bust you b--ls, just need the questions answered).

You might want to check the connections to the power supply.  Often times the loss screens can be caused by loss of the voltage that supplies them. Also check the connections to the VFD display and also all interconnections between the door and the internal connectors.
Here's hoping you have good luck in finding the problem.

One more time. Have tried to adjust the optics or are you just using the information from the test mode. If you have eliminated the board then there is not much left other than optics.
Real simple try this when you close the latch lift it back up  1/8th of an inch and leave it there. See if the flashing stops and you can play the game.

Isn't possible that the door optics wire has a break in it, and by moving it up and down that the signal cuts in and out? That optics wires are it constant movement every time the door latch is opened and closed. There could even be a wear mark or the insulation. I think if be trying the good optics from my other machine in the one that's acting up.
