thought i had this fixed, but problem came back.  when turn on, mpu red light blinks on and off, no boot .  id like to test the power supply, but dont know the pin outs , where to test, ot what voltages to look for. . also,  the game was in canada, the PS says canada on it,  i know they have some different laws up there and the PS could be different?

thanks

it started working again. i did find voltage test points on the back plane. all test good, the + 12v was 11.9, - 12v was 13.1, 5v was 5.12 , 7.5 Ac was 8.0  .  if it craps out again, i'll test them when its not working.    if i have the hopper out to check things, i get a 31 hopper error. is there a way to clear it without doing a ram clear? also, the bill acceptor is still acting up. now its not working, and it doesnt cycle and make the running noise when you power up. when it was working for 1 day, it did do the cycle. its a wba 21 canadian unit, but it has a wba 11 sticker on the bottom board and did accept US bills. when its not working, i can see two small red led's lit on the bottom of the unit

thanks

its working now, no idea why. when is messing up, when the mpu red light flashes 5, 12, and -12 volts all drop very low, then come back. they stay up till the mpu resets( red light) and they drop again.  they will stay down for a sec or 2, them they are back. its hard to tell if the board is pulling them down, or the drop is resetting the board.  they dont drop at all with the mpu out.  i hooked an external supply( 5 and pos 12v) to the backplane and the mpu seemed  stable, one flash on the light, then out.  i pulled the power supply, no bad solder joints, no bulging caps.  sometimes right after a clear i get an 88, so maybe its a bad board. i dont have a PS or other board to swap.  i have it on now, will leave it on all night and see what happens. anyone ever see this?

thanks
