Weird issue with S2000 White Ice

hoping someone can help me here.


I have an S2000 running single line White Ice SB100136 and SG363.


Machine was running fine then I turned it on one day and had call attendant on display.  I then cleared and keyed machine (clear 224 key 45).  Once I clear and key the machine, neither the backlit reels lite and sound only comes out of left speaker.  Tried it several times.


Any suggestions?

I would start by making sure all cables and boards are seated snuggly. When you cleared it you might well have jarred the multimedia board loose, but check you sound settings in menu 3 anyway and see if enhanced sounds are available. What was the origional message besides Call Attendent?

Hi Cowboy.  I tried all of that.  Even replaced the multimedia board from my other working machine.  In addition after clearing and replacing the SB The first thing that comes up is RAM Error.  Second is game mismatch and third is non-recoverable data error.  Then some critical data will be lost.   But no alarm.

No.  It's been removed.  I finally got it up and running.  Sound is good.  I had to clear and key it several times.  Ultimately going through the entire process without the DSV42 installed.  The powered down and installed DSV.  Now I have enhanced sounds which I could never make work before and I was told legacy would be all I can get on this combination. So that's been cleared up. 

Still have no backlit reels.  So hunting that down. I have changed backlit controller board and no luck. This is a tricky cabinet.  Has had gremlins since I bought it.

After changing the motherboard with no results I stumbled across a bad main power supply connection.  It appears as though the lower portion of the power supply connector has something to do with the backlit reels.   Problem solved.  Thanks.  Like I said weird cabinet.
