Question About Chips
« on: July 14, 2016, 06:05:02 pm »
Ok so after reading about the sp/ss chips and comparing some of the photos I am thinking I have a hodge podge machine. Can anyone clarify this.

So the chips I have in my s-plus are:

SP1160 Type 0,1,4,5 10MHz, ID023, SET088/89/90/91, $0.01,0.05, 9 Paylines - SAS communication, no mention of credit transfer

and

SS4255 86.904 (86.904) 13.722 (72)ABA 800/1600 (8) 320/640 (24) 7.29      The chips says Type 5 which nudges up or down. The reel strips have the symbols with the diamonds that nudge up or down. Also the main marque states that the symbols move up or down.

I guess I am confused on the SP1160 chip. Is this the proper chip that goes with this game?

[b}Also, is the bottom "double diamond" glass incorrect? On the page that I found this:

SS4255 86.904 (86.904) 13.722 (72)ABA 800/1600 (8) 320/640 (24) 7.29

there are images of double diamonds deluxe.

Hope this isn't too confusing for someone to clarify.

Nick

You have the wrong belly glass.  Your belly glass  is standard Double Diamond.  Your software and reel strips are for a double diamond deluxe.

SP1160 supports game types 0, 1, 4, and 5 so it does support your double diamond deluxe which is a type 5 game.

Before you got the machine someone may have converted it to Double Diamond Deluxe and either couldn't find the correct lower glass or didn't want to spend the money for one. The Deluxe version has the nudge feature and by most people's thinking it makes the game more enjoyable, so count yourself lucky for that. You can replace the lower glass if you want to, then could see about selling your DD glass, or hang it in a frame as wall art.

The correct glass will look something like this,  there may be different sizes for different models of machines so verify before ordering. You can measure the lower glass you have in there now to know what size you need.

I think Rick was trying to say that you have the wrong belly glass.  That said, you have the correct paytable glass, chips, and strips for a Double Diamond Deluxe game.  The fact that the belly glass doesn't have the word "Deluxe" on it is the only thing that's wrong with it, and that's purely a cosmetic issue that will not affect gameplay.  You can of course try to obtain the correct glass to make the kit complete, but chances are you're going to be the only one of your friends who knows the difference.

Wrong glass would drive me
Other than not having Deluxe on glass, most people wouldn't even notice. Pay table is on top, that's what most would be looking at.
AD/HD Highwa....Oh hey look squirrel!!
