No display on s2000 6-6-3

Hello all, I have an s2000 with a 1270 enhanced board. The machine was on and idle and the 6-6-3 segment display just went blank. No light on the denomination either. I turned it off and tried to assure connections were intact, now I get machine type mismatch error along with closure M.

A little strange, let me ask you a few questions.
First the display itself may have gone bad.
Machine type mismatch is chosen on the 700 screens ( key)
Go there and see what is chosen for machine type.

Is the error machine type mismatch or display mismatch?
When was the last time the coin battery was replaced?
Do you have spare parts or another machine to test parts with.

Rich, thanks for the reply. I removed the 3V battery but don't have a way to test the voltage on it. After putting it back in and turning on the machine, it now shows coin-in jam. Display has nothing, neither does denomination. Should I replace the 3V battery? I have a feeling the display may have gone bad.

Machine type mismatch was the original error. Forgot to mention, when I tried to go to the menu I couldn't toggle through it. The button deck doesn't work either... this battery is probably 4 years old.

Many different errors I would replace the battery.

Yes, I will do that. Took it to Batteries Plus and it read at 2.8 volts which I'm sure is low. I'm at work but will post back tonight to report what happens. Thanks Rich!
