Hello Folks,


I am running SS3499 (90.55%);  I was tinkering with settings in the machine, and somehow changed something where the credits in payout mode payout far slower than before. Before, 100 credits would take about a second, now its 4-5 seconds... Even the Melody is slower. I'm assuming there is a setting for this, but I don't remember what I did that changed this. Any ideas?

I'm not aware of any setting that can be adjusted to alter the speed at which credits are banged up on a win.  To cover my butt, though, what SP chip is in your machine, just so we can double check the PSR to make sure there isn't a setting that I've never heard of before.

Rails, is this your S2000 machine with the SB001000 setup and using the SS chip?

I've never seen an S+ machine bang up a 100 credit win in one second.  4-5 seconds sounds closer to what I'd expect, although that even seems a little fast.

Well the bang up was much faster before, now it isn't.    It's slow.

It seemed to happen after I was messing with SAS Settings, but then again, maybe not... There were settings such as "Cashless Primary, Seconardy"; etc and I had change a few of them.  But as I said I am not really sure if it was these settings or something else. It's just strange because I don't know what would cause this.

As far as SAS settings, it should be set to Standard and left alone. I believe the only time it's changed in a home setting is to install a TITO device. Could changing this slow the game down? Couldn't tell you, but if it's not set to standard, change it back. As far as the cashless controller settings, another one you shouldn't mess with, it should be set to Disabled. I think the discussion I mentioned above on the old site referred to SG chip sets and how they could affect roll up speed and you didn't change those chips on your board. It's generally a good idea not to mess with key chip settings to "learn" what different ones might do. Kinda like going into a store full of expensive sh$t you can't afford, look but don't touch. Do you have a second machine you can look at the various setting on and match your Wild Cherry machine settings to? If not, and you want to take the time, go through all your Menu 7.1 and 7.2 settings and post them here so someone can verify them for you. And if you changed settings in any other menus post those here also. You don't need to post menu labels, just the number and submenu numbers, like 7.2.1.1 is the validation submenu. Worst case, if we can't figure it out and it really bothers you, a full clear will set everything back, but then you'll really learn something about programming that machine and it may not be fun for you

Well, I have a gamekit coming in the mail in a few days so I am going to be changing the game completely, but I'm not sure if I will have to do a full clear for that. Yeah, I shouldn't of messed with those settings, however, I guess there is always a place to learn.

No,  but i have them coming with my gamekit..speaking of which i just checked the mail and my new version chip just arrived as well as my new SG chips, SG363...will replacing these 3 chips require any resets or malfunctions?

Changing them will likely trigger a couple different errors, ram and crc mismatch, but I believe the jackpot reset key should be all you need to reset them. Possibly a key chip, but I don't think so...

Are you 100% sure on that? Because, I don't have my key chip yet... and I don't want to lose functionability until I get the Key Chip, but at the same time I'd like to perform a swap on these 3 chips... So if all it takes is a jackpot reset, then I'll go ahead and swap them out.

Ok, So I swapped out the Version Chip to a new one, as well as both GME 1&2 to newer chips. That is my first time ever doing it, and I must admit, it was a delicate process, and sadly I bent the pins on the older chips...... So I'm not sure if they can be re-used..   Is there a trick to doing this without bending the pins??!?  I used a flat head screwdriver and slowly pulled the chips out however they then popped out so fast it bend the pins on the other end.

Now that I think more about it, I wouldn't worry much about the SG chips, it's the VS chip. If you're going from a single denom to multidenom VS chip you might need to clear and key the machine as the multidenom chip requires setting an accounting denom and then individual player denoms while the single denom chip only uses a denom setting to determine how many credits individual bills are worth

Yes, and I got the ram error and EPROM error, used jackpot reset key to clear the errors, everything in working order... Works good.. however bangup is still SLOW... and even before when you'd hit "Bet Max credits" it would take the 5 credits much faster, even that's slow... It literally takes about 6-7 seconds to bangup 50 credits, where as before it was maybe 1-2 seconds...  There is a little corrosion from the VARTA battery on the small "QuickSaver" chip which is soldered to the board.. Could that be it? 


One other question --- When I get my new game kit, I am changing it to a $1.00 game, versus $.25.... it won't be Multi-Denom, it'll just be single denom. I need a key chip to change the coin value, correct?   Also, I noticed when I hit the jackpot the other day, the credits dont payout first, like I am used to, then goes to Call Attendant... it just goes straight to CALL ATTENDANT JACKPOT HANDPAY. How do I make the credits bang up first?

That wouldn't cause your slot credit roll up, that looks like power to something or other, I'm not in front of my machine to tell you exactly what..  The only thing I can think of is the reel chip being too slow, although you said before that it would roll up fast.  I would wait for your other kit to come it to see if it fixes the slow credit roll up.  As far as the jackpot, if it is the top award, it will always go to handpay, no way around it.  Also if it is over $1,200, or go over the credit limit setup on the slot, you will have the same issue.

That plug isn't the issue. If someone doesn't come up with an answer soon you may end up clearing the machi e and doing a fresh setup. Your problem is quite unusual because it worked and then didn't. Most slow roll up issues are due to the chips installed and they never roll up fast from the git go
