Enchanted Unicron (044 + Legacy Adapter) - Max Bet?

So I got the software on eBay and installed it in my 044 Legacy Adapter Board.  I only have a Keychip 28 and Keychip 37, so I used the Keychip 28 to Clear RAM and EEPROM and then used the Keychip 37 to enter keychip menu.  Worked fine.  My "problem" (not sure if it's the base game chip setting or something else) is that I only have two options for Max Bet - 20 or 40.  When I enter the Max Bet menu, other options seems to "flash" briefly on the screen but then I'm only left with 20 or 40.

So my question is this: do I only have these two options because they are set in the base game chip based on the locality from which it came (which I don't know), because I didn't use the right key chip, or because there is another option somewhere I missed? 

The base chip is I0000842 and has a sticker that appears to say "Picayune Ranchero".

I don't think I've ever gotten key 28 to work on an 044 legacy adapter board.  You are supposed to use key 40.  I've never used key 37.   Attached is the PSR for your base chip.  In the section that says Maximum Bet, it says:

To select the maximum number of coins or credits that can be wagered per game, access the Key Chip Menu and touch Max Bet Setup and the appropriate icon.  To view this option’s setting, access the Operator Menu and touch Setup, Game Options, Max Bet Setup, and the appropriate game icon.

Typically, the max bet is determined by Jurisdiction, denomination, and game. It is possible that your only choices are 20 or 40 based on configuration.  What denom do you have the game set to?

It's multi-denom and I've enabled 0.01, 0.05, 0.25, 1.00, 5.00, and $25.00.

The Keychip 28 worked to clear, but not enter Keychip menus.

The Keychip 37 allowed me to Keychip and enter menus.

Weird thing is that I don't have the option anywhere to set up Max Bet options.  I can get into the Max Bet option, but there are only two options - 20 or 40.

I'm guessing the jurisdiction this came from is preventing me having more options unless I'm missing something.

Can one Keychip allow some options another won't?

BTW, there is only one game option - Enchanted Unicorn 9

There is absolutely No Way to tell the correct Keychip without knowing the Game/Base combo.


For the record, the Key 37 is the CORRECT Keychip for another set of software this person has, Key37 is the Replacement for Key 17 when using a Legacy Adapter


Key 17/37 in I+ is for Single Denom and Non MD3 Multi Denom sets


The Non MD3 is the old type Multi Denom where you set the Hopper/Coin Value then Move to next page, not the type that ask accounting denom first


Key17/37 has NO Clear function


While Key 40 is probably the most used Keychip, it will not let you do the Keychip Function on older Non MD3 sets, but does have the Cleasr Function
