Bally S6000 -Error 83F0

ok im having a very frustrating day with 2 bally 6000

i keep getting 83f0

i have 3 boards .

i have older and newer mains. have 2004 mains and 2006 mains and some old 1996 mains

I have tryed clearing all 3 with older clear chips and i get the clear then put back in the mains and get the error 83f0 on all three boards.

i have tryed the newer clear chips and i get just a blank screen on the lcd.

i have tryed switching # 8 on dsw1  on and off but get the same thing.

i have 2 of the same machine and it dose the same in each machine.

any one have any sugestions i can try that i all ready havent tryed...

Replaced the battery?

Also make sure the battery jumper is shorted on the boards.

One trick I have tried that works is remove both RAM chips and move the top one to the bottom socket and the bottom one to the top socket.
When clearing with the clear chips turn DIP SW8 on (all others off), hold down test and psuedo coin, turn on power and wait for CHC and CLC then turn power off and turn off DIP SW8, then turn power on and leave the door open until the reels complete their dance. 01 ?? ?? on the display means you need to press the change button once, then a 50 code (door open) should come up.
There are some newer clear chips for these boards that stay in the board but still work with the game.
They make clearing the board easier because you don't have to remove chips and put in clear chips to clear the boards.

I know this is an older thread,
But I wanted to share what I have learned on Bally S6000 MPU boards for the 83F0 error
The main reason I  have found for this is the push button switches for Pseudo or Test, or both are not working.
So I usually have to press them firmly over and over and over, to exercise them a bit and work the contacts clean inside the switches.
You can verify if they work by using an ohm meter on the switch legs.
