double diamond wont see door open

s+ double diamond slant top suddenly plays while door is open Ive even unplugged both optics and still continues to play and also when this happened wont accept any coins but can add coins using small white button on coin optic board .Machine has been working normally before this and would sense door open and would accept coins now cant explain whats going on.I dont want to screw things up so i haven't tried resetting it until I ask what I should do here first.

If it won't accept coins and the white button adds credits, then it is sensing a door open and you likely have bad optics or a bad door switch triggering the door open condition

it wont sense a door open that is my main problem even when i unplug the optics it still thinks the door is closed

I think what Cowboy meant was the coin optic button will allow credits even with the door open when it's working correctly. Now with the door open and it won't accept coins, that is reading the door open and it should not accept coins. With the door shut and optics connected if it will not accept coins then it is reading the door as open. And you may have an optics problem. Don't slant tops have a slide or something on the bottom that has to be shut for the machine to work properly?  Welcome to NLG. Happy!

   I totally agree with cowboy and shaggy. If the machine thought the door was closed it would accept coins whether the door was open, closed, whatever. Also, mrhappyface, the machine will "play" in an open door state but I believe this is just intended for diagnostic purposes. You can add credits with the optics button and it will build up credits but once all is working properly and you shut the door the machine will reset back to zero (or whatever amount you had before failure). I setup one machine this way for free play. Tricking it into thinking the door is open and connecting the "change/service" button to the coin optics button.

  Thanks all for the reply's I just figured it out I had removed the door to fix the bent hinge which also the door was a lil tweeked so I also removed the glass so not to break it while getting the door straight and in the process I unplugged both optics and when i put it all back I had reversed the emitter and the receiver optic  so when i looked them up to order new I then realized I had them backwards all is good now and my door closes nice now
