Splus Random Reel errors

I have a Sizzling Sevens  that I'm working on.  Got a new game and reel prom installed.  I had to replace the game prom socket because it had lost tension on one entire side.  Whoever had messed with this thing before had pulled the jumpers off the cpu board, which made troubleshooting fun until I realized the rom size jumpers were gone.    There are a couple other spots where it looks like jumpers could go that are not populated, but I couldn't find anything referencing those.

When you turn on the machine, it spins  the reels a quarter turn or so and then throws either 41 42 or 43.  And it seems to be random.  I've cleaned the optos on the reel assemblies,  checked connections, swapped positions, verified voltage is ok.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Too bad you don't have a spare MPU to try in it. Another member was having odd reel problems and it turned out to be the mother board. If it does it with a different MPU I'd check the mother board.

Are you using the correct SP chip for the board? Using a 10MHz SP chip on a 16MHz board (or vice versa) can cause some weird reel errors.
