Removal of new s2000 reel strips

I tried to search for this and see if there's a sticky note for it. I have new reel strips installed on reels but want to change out to a different theme now.  :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:


It's a 3 reel with backlit washable strips. Any suggestions on how to get them apart without any damage? I've change out plenty of games in the past, just never had to remove new strips.  :thank_you:

Danny,
A little heat from a hair dryer should help you. And I do mean a little heat, you don't want to melt or deform new strips.
Work slowly and gently as backlight strips tend to delaminate fairly easily.

You could always pick up extra sets of reels for strips you don't want to risk damaging

I have multiple extra sets. Some that I've received have been in poor condition (very wobbly) but I didn't want to be picky so I let it go... I've never had the chance to get the LED type reels. That would be really cool.  :cool_thumb_up:

Any idea if there will be a difference when using a standard backlit controller vs the LED controller with these LED bulbs? I have both style controllers so I was just wondering.

If you are putting in the 12V LED bulbs then the older style will work. The newer style for LED pads is backwards compatible.
