Since the coin is not dated, it is hard to say how much silver with just looking. Sometime in 2005 the silver content went from .6 troy ounce to .5 troy ounces. The outer ring is brass, so no gold plating. There were some that were gold plated, but the plating happened on top of the silver part, or the higher denomination silver strikes like $40 or even $200 had some gold plating on it. Here's a $200 sample gold plated back when they used to be 12 troy oz. Now, they are $300 denomination but have only 6 oz. The Four Queens has a very active Silver Strike Program and come out with some really cool $300 and colorized $10 gaming tokens.
