Newbie NEED HELP !

Hello,  I have a IGT S2000 5 Reel Slot that will not boot up.  When I Open the Cabinet door the Light bulb inside is on, however when I turn on the Power Button to activate the machine nothing happens. FYI, the machine has been sitting in a colder room in my house- sometimes it gets below 50 degrees.
I would appreciate any help I can get to resolve this issue.

Let the power supply warm up, and make sure its screwed in and fully seated. It's located directly behind the reels.

Post a few pictures of the inside maybe a whole inside cabinet shot and a more detailed one of the CPU board so we have an idea of what you have.

Make sure that the MPU, the main board is plugged in tight too.. I had something simular happen here after I move a machine.. Come to find out that the board had come loose from the back plane board..

Hi ,
I attached some pictures of the inside of my machine.


Once again the light inside the machine is on but the machine will not Boot Up.
I have not had any issues until now.
I would appreciate any help you may provide.

The cabinet tech light is powered by A/C mains, since there are no other lights on the machine, I suspect your power supply is not working.  It is a relatively inexpensive and easy to get part, so I would start there.

It is behind the reels, it is mounted on the back of the cabinet right behind it.  It looks like the attached photo. You can just place a WTB ad and one of our sponsors will probably come up with a very reasonable offer.

I have had to replace bad ON/OFF switches on two S2000's I've worked on, so also consider this if it is not the power supply. 

Two primary problems with cold storage of electronic devices are: 1) Condensation-related oxidation of electrical contacts, and 2) Cracking and failure of small solder joints with cold temperature changes.  You can seal your machine in plastic if you're storing it below 55 deg. to prevent condensation issues.

I had this exact issue with mine - once you pull out the reels, like rickhunter showed, that will allow access to the power supply. Mine had unscrewed and backed out, and lost contact.

This is what I was going to suggest too.. Make sure the power supply is attached.. I have had to replace 2 power supply's in my last 3 builds..

I want to thank everyone for their help with this issue. After watching the video regarding removing the reels to get to the power supply, I simply reached back to the screw that holds the power supply and found it was loose. Once I tightened it, the machine re-booted and is running like new.
I appreciate all your help !
