Pink Panther game arrived with issue

Pink Panther arrived in the mail so I loaded it into the tray for the first time and fired it up... everything was going fine and the colors on the screen were rotating and I expected to hear the deedoodeedoo sound of the error message and have to turn the key and press and hold the button but all I got was this (look at pic), no sound, no error message, nothing. I let it stay that way for a while thinking maybe that is how this software works considering it's a pretty large set of software but still nothing.

I hadn't gotten to that point yet. Normally I just put a program in and set it up after it loads. I'll try it though.

Make sure there are no bent or pins not in the sockets.  Also I would take a pencil eraser and just rub clean all the simm contacts.
