Author Topic: Slot Error 7 Times pay machine Easy Fix? (Read 5448 times)

I'm thinking about buying a 7 Times pay machine. the owner is moving and does not want to mess with it. I am wondering if this could be a easy fix by resetting or replacing the battery. When it boots up it gives out 2 errors.

Here are the pictures of the errors

what does everybody think? He wants 150 for it but I talked him down to 100.00

worse case is that I can take it to a slot repair place

machine does not take bills and it takes quarters and pays out in coins

Simple resets after loss of ram, either just changed battery or needs changed

You will need the reset key to clear those errors. I would install a new coin battery and remove the Green 3 legged Varta battery if you have a 500 series MPU board. Install a battery hold for the coin type battery. That way future battery changes are simple. If you buy the slot machine you can post pictures of you MPU for more help.

Hello I went and got the machine for 100.00

brought it home, plugged it in. Had a call attendant error. I opened the door, alarm went off, I turned the reset key 4 times and it said press and hold the white button. Did that and shut the door

Slot machine went thru the boot sequence, reels lit up and spin.

It has error saying call attendant closure M Main battery low

here are the pictures of the inside and mpu board

the previous owner said he had the machine unplugged for a while and decided to play again and that when he got the error

So pretty much the culprit is the battery?

Yep, change the battery and do the same reset and you should be good to go

Replace your round battery with a battery holder and a coin style battery. That way in the future you just swap out the battery without having to do any soldering. You will also want to remove the green Varta battery and clean up any battery acid that might be in the area.

Remove that green Varta battery too. It will leak and ruin your board. It is not needed for home use. If you are not comfortable soldering, you can go to a Batteries Plus store and they will solder for you.

I do not have a solder gun. There is a slot repair place near me saying they will put a new holder and battery for 60.00

or should I be better off taking it to the batteryPlus place and let them do it?

I will be going to battery plus tomorrow. Wish me luck hoping they wont damage the board. Pretty bad reviews at the only batteryplus in our area

Update

Got the battery swapped out with a holder and removed the green battery

Installed it back in went thru the same reset process and the awesome slot machine lights and sounds are moving!

The machine is working!!!!!

I cannot thank all of you enough for your help!! I really appreciate it!!!
