Can't get passed 'close open door' with possible optic bypass already in place.

Hello, I'm hoping that someone out there has encountered an optic bypass like the one in my triple lucky 7's machine.  I've looked at many, many posts on the subject and don't see where it's been done this way so I can't figure out what is wrong and fix it. 


Some background is that I bought three machines at once and was told all worked.  One fired up, the second fired up with a battery replacement (and after some self inflicted board repairs).


The third however has never gotten past the close open door request when firing it up.


I brought the MPU board to a local shop and it tests good. So I don't think I have any trace damage causing the issue.


In my efforts to improve things it is altogether possible (maybe likely even) that I messed up how it was originally done. 


The optics on both the door side and cabinet side have been cut.  I don't know if the wires had been twisted together or not originally, although it kind of looked as though they had been.  I believe I have since tried all combinations of connected and non connected optic wires.  There are not any wires connected to the switch behind the cash box. There are belly door wires are soldered together.


In addition to the black/green and black/blue wires running to the main door switch there are also double black wires and an orange black wire running there as well.  (Picture attached)
One thing to note is that the cabinet light turns on with the door closed, not when open.  I can change that behavior by attaching the lighting wires to com2 and nc2 rather than com2 and no2 but am hesitant to do so as the other posts seem to always have it on no2. 


I appreciate any and all thoughts and suggestions.  I'm completely new to S2000 so there is nothing too obvious that I couldn't miss :-)

Here is a pic of an S+ using that cherry switch to bypass optics. Check to see it it is like yours. Are those cut wires hooked up on the other end?

swap boards   you might have a bad cpu

Thanks all.  I spoke with VTyler and I'm going to bring the machine in for some handholding.  I tried the board swap and both boards now have the same error.  Since they had both just tested good, and my S2000 mojo being pretty weak, I think it's the best option here.  The cabinet has some funky stuff going on that is causing boards to run wild.
