Set to take more than 2 coins

I took a Triple Diamond S plus on trade and this is the first S plus I have worked on so pardon the rookie question.
I want to change the setting so the machine will take more than two coins. (coins to credit) I have searched the files and posts and haven't found the info I need. The game has a SP878 chip.

The only way to get coins to credit as you are asking is to use an SP1137 game chip. This allows a few different styles of playing including tokenization of each coin. I have a 3CM Triple Diamond that I have set the token value of each coin to 99. That is the most allowed. The settings are 1 to 99.  So each quarter dropped in registers 99 credits. This particular chip also has a repeat bet function. Whatever your last bet was it will repeat by pushing the spin reels, play max or even pulling the arm. The arm solenoid is energized all the time to repeat as wanted. If you only want to play 1 credit, push the credit button once. Those same features will work then with only one credit played.

Is Shaggy's answer what you were looking for? I was thinking you wanted to play more than 2 coins at a time. Like up to 5 coins. A reel chips would do that.

I was looking to be able to put as many coins in as I want and have them go to credits, now I can only put 2 in and spin, only winnings go to credits.

You will also find with this particular chip, that the credit limit will automatically set to 9999. Which was okay with me. 10 quarters is 990 credits. I personally like the setup.
