Igor double diamond need help

Hi new here just trying to get help I have an igt double diamond battery went bad so I changed it out now I got it going but seem when you land on a win the machine just clicks doesn't show your winnings or payout won't stop clicking till I open the door or turn the reset key
Any ideas thanks so much

I have never seen this problem or heard of it before. Did the machine work properly before you replaced the battery?

Yes machine always worked as it should then the battery went and I kinda of put things to the side for a few months then the wife said fix it or get rid of it so I looked into it found out the battery was bad and replaced it
Machine started and was dropping coins in and playing until I hit a winning pull then I had this clucking sound without any payout or credits being added to my pot

When you replaced the battery did the machine make you turn the key on the side and hold the test switch? I have never heard of an igt machine making this problem, but if it was one of my machines I would start with a full clear and reprogram. I have seen s2000s do some odd things when the srams get corrupt. The machine should have forces a partial clear after having the battery replaced tho.

Is this a coinless machine? Since the battery went dead and it sat for a while maybe the default settings got messed up when you added the new battery? Have you checked things like hopper limits, credit limit, all that stuff?

Where does the clicking come from? Meters, hopper, speakers, something else?

No the machine takes quarters and has a dollar bill slot too
The noise seems to be coming from the bottom left side but hard to tell cause soon as you open the door it stops
I did check the hopper for any thing jammed

Check your limit settings is programming menu 3. Sounds like your hopper limit is zero

Is the candle (light on top of machine) flashing? Your machine may have gone into "handpay" mode and is waiting for a reset. In a casino the slot person would come over and give you your winnings, or refill the hopper, then she would insert the reset key and turn it to reset the machine so it would start working again. As cowboygames said, if the hopper limit is set too low then any winning spin will put the machine into this mode. That's what I meant earlier about checking your settings. The speaker is mounted on the bottom left side of the door, the clicking sound may be coming from it.

As soon as you get a low battery it is best to replace it, that way you might not have to deal with other problems like lost settings.
