Igt S+ From SP1019 to SP1272 Update

Hi all.


I ve Igt S+ Triple triple diamond with SP 1019 and SS6767. One of my friend tell me that about my chips ;


- That is a strange SP chip. It is used mainly for a colossus machine. Personally I would put the newer SP1272 or SP1309 chip in the board and use a standard set015 chip to set it up.


What do you think ?


I have now both of SP1272 and Set15 Chip. Do you guys thinking the same like he is ?


If yes then i need as much as plain explanation help to setup this 1272.


Other than this i was order Double Diamond Deluxe set for this slot. Do you guys want me to setup this 1272 before or after i received my complete set.

1219 and 1069 are close enough where I think you won't have to do anything other than to clear a few errors.  Honestly for home use, there is not significant advantage on going to an SP1272, you might be better of if you are a beginner, just swapping out the SS prom and clearing the errors that go with that instead of doing a full sp change.  With just an SS prom change you don't have to to re-enable validator or set up denomination, with the SP chip change, you may have to, but not entirely sure since they two chips are of close enough release dates.
