Players edge poker

Got a 1986 players edge poker machine that has five games you can play and everything works accept the coin mech was told I need a new one ..so we’re do you find one and is it easy to install.. I’m a newbie so trying to fix this myself ..

Welcome to the site.

If it has five games you likely have a Player's Edge Plus.  The easiest way for us to tell would be if you can post a few pictures of the outside and inside of the machine.  Also, if there currently is a coin acceptor in there, please make sure to post a picture of it as well.

What "doesn't work" about the current coin acceptor?  The more detail you can give us the better, please, since we're not there in person to see what's happening.  Do coins get stuck when you put them in?  Do all coins just fall through and get rejected back to the player?

Yes, post photos of your machine, especially the coin acceptor inside the main door. If your coin acceptor is a coin comparitor, like model CC-16 for example, make sure you have an example coin (called the sample coin) installed into the coin comparitor.

Since you said everything works perfectly except the coin mech I assume that means you have a bill acceptor that works and you can play the machine by inserting paper money?
