Bally 6000 Burnt Bulbs

I am fixing a Bally 6000 Monte Carlo for a customer and came across a strange problem I have never run into before. All of the miniature bulbs (356) in the whole game were burnt out. Did anybody ever run into this happening before. I replaced the bulbs but before I put it back together I'm trying to figure out what burnt all of the bulbs. Thanks. Bill.

Check with the owner of the machine to see if some prior event or maintenance might be relevant to all the bulbs burning out, like a power supply failure, or someone plugging something in wrong inside the machine, someone rewiring the main transformer to change it over from 220vac to 110vac, an electrical storm that zapped their house power line, etc. Did the customer bring it to you because of other major failures?

I’ve noticed in the past that for some reason the bulbs in these Bally games seem to burn out faster then the ones found in other makers/models like IGT.

I get all my bulbs from MCM Electronics (now Newark) and have had great success. very good quality.

#356 bulbs are only rated to last 500 hours and are 28v.  Are those the correct bulbs?
