i did all caps but the 2 power caps. the ps still has a chirp but only when turning off? its sounds like a fan belt squeal for a split second. put it back in and had the dreaded error 82 i had quite the time clearing it but got it up and running. got it to hold credits with the keypad and found the cash out lamp bad. so far so good.

well i played it for hours no problem i hit the firecracker bonus twice. then left, then i get the call from my sister one of the kids was pulling the handle and poof nothing, now i have o volts across the outputs, i only gave it a eye ball and didnt see anything burnt?

I messed with the PS On the bench just poking around with the meter and could not find anything wrong. Still 0 volts on all outputs then out of blue it started to work. Turn it off it had the chirp turn it back on and back to 0 volts.

Remove one leg of each of those 150K 1/2W resistors, one across each input capacitor, and make sure they are close to 150K.Check resistors around Q2 thru Q4 and see if any have changed resistance.Make sure all small diodes are still good.Q2 goes bad quite often.

you da man  :hail: the 150k's were bad, i'm kicking myself i did'nt see it. I did pull Q2-Q4 and all tested good, also D9-D14 all good from the flow chart in the BIG manual you sent me. The machine is up and running again till the next failure. :Scratch-Head:
