What can I do to clear this? When I touch the return to game icon on the screen, nothing happens

I would reboot it and see if that helps. Touch screen controller may have went out. Do you have a different monitor to swap?

I don't have another monitor but the touchscreen was working fine when I was setting up the denoms & other settings. Even though I'm not getting a low battery error I did check the 3v coin style battery on the board & it's reading a little below 3 volts

That's worth a try. You also could key chip it and see if the touch screen works again in key mode to eliminate the controller.

Does the white button work while showing that message? If it does you can find out if the touch screen still works or not.

Did this message just pop up or did this appear after you setup the game? I have seen this message before. It was asking me to go back to the game setting to fix a problem.

i get this everytime i swap a game, usually after the turn key pressing button for 2-3 seconds of configuring
usually turning key and or pressing button and just going into setup clears it out for me

Ok, it's working now after a key 22 clear. I have a new unusual problem now. The whole center of the screen is blacked out (here the 5 video lines & symbols are) only thing showing are the icons on the bottom and the left & right side lines & bet per line. Now if I touch the icon for pays/help, all the symbols show up just fine on the middle of the screen & it allows me to scroll through them all. I go back to the game play mode and the center game play area is still blacked out. Any idea how to fix that issue? Thanks

i would pull your eproms and base and make sure there is no pin bent, also reseat your simms

I suspect an issue with the PXL roms. Remove and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and re-install. If not, I would try another set of PXLF simms. Also make sure the dip switches are in the correct position. Interesting tidbit about the igames. If the games are used on an 044 platform, it seems to perform better checks than on a 3902 native board. I had a southpark set that would boot up on 3902 mpu and play with messed up graphics, but would error out during boot when moved to an 044 platform with legacy daughter card. I had to replace the PXLF and CGF simms. Just a thought.

the pxl simms go where there are 3 slots next to each other
also you can try them in different slots pxl simms can usually be installed in any position

Ok, I've got 3 slots but just 2 of those Simms, does it need to have 3 Simms total? Do they have to be in a certain order? That very well could be my graphics problem

should be C0001000
PXLF4 3 of 3 on off off off (switch)
PXLF3 2 of 3 off on on on (switch)

I put up a want to by post for some new or working set of pixel Simms/Roms in the classified section. Now I have a new question, I put a Pharoh's Fortune game in this cabinet just to test everything else out and when I go into game play, it's stuck on "play 2 per line" button. I checked under the button deck to see if that switch on that button was stuck shut & it was not, even took all 4 .Wires off that button switch just in case it was stuck closed internally. Still same problem, it's stuck on "play 2 per line" what else could I check to try to correct this, could it be a bad I/O board for the button deck?

you can turn the key and select diagnostics, then cabinet io i beleive(might be other one. you can test each switch

you can also key the machine and where you configure the denomination there should be a max # of coins bet if that number is really low you may no be able select higher

for example if the max credit was set to 10 and it is a five line game then you would not be able to slectect higher than 2 per line since 3 perline would be 15 credits

I did the I/O test of the button panel and that button is not stuck closed & it does register when I press the micro switch on that particular button, so I guess that tells me the circuit to that button is fine. Any ideas on anything else I can try?

could you possible send a picture of screen when its on play 2 that includes your buttons

maybe i can get on the phone with you, and go through some settings while i am in front of a machine (PM for info if you want to do that)
