I went to the Tahoe Hyatt on the lake in 2009. The casino was a bit of a pity. We drove around and landed at the CalNevada which was in a very bad state of repair.
When I had heard that it had been bought and was being revamped I reached out on linkedin to the new owner and ended up with a VIP invite to their grand-reopening in 2012. That company never made it to 2012 and it has been shuttered ever since with the property changing hands now twice. I would really like to see it come back to its old glory and become a destination resort.

Now if they could only do something about that Reno Airport.....
