GK printer ??

Ok, I picked up a GK Cleo II in non-working condition this summer (earlier post).  Thanks to NLG I got it going and stable with a new flash board and monitor.

When we picked it up the I saw it had a ticket printer bezel and asked the PO about it.  He said it didn't have a printer as that was extra when he bought it.  Once we got it home and opened up it was immediately obvious that it did have one although it is disconnected.  Now that it's working, I'm thinking it would be nice to add TITO to the machine but, I'd like to know that the printer works before buying tickets and then messing with installing a TITO board.  I know any questions in that direction should be in the TITO forum but at this point I've just got some basic IGT GK specific questions. 

Some pictures are attached. 

1) Does this appear to be a viable printer? 
2) I assume the black cable with two connectors (3 slot-two pin) connects to the left side board (whatever it's called)?
and 
3) The eight pin connector connects to the jumper cable (sorry missed getting that in the frame) that connects to the third connector on the distributions board at the top rear of the cabinet.  I'm assuming that is a power distribution board? 
4) After connecting it correctly, is there any way to verify that the printer works without having actual ticket paper?

1.  Yes
2.  No.  That cable doesn't connect to anything.  (The board is your audio amplifier)
3.  Yes, that one connects to an adapter cable that comes from the netplex distrbution board.
4.  Not really.  You need to have paper, and probably a keychip to enable/setup the game software to use the printer.

You will need this harness to connect the printer to your dist board. Those aren't necessarily valuable printers but they are fine for home use. It's a FutureLogic commonly referred to as Gen 1 printer. You really need tickets to properly test it as well as a key chip to enable it. With the power connected before you key chip, if it powers on & loads tickets there's a good chance it will work. Once enabled you will have to keep it loaded with tickets or you will get an error. Do not attempt to connect the printer with the power on.

Attached is another picture of the the top box with all three open connectors.  It appears that the jumper I have is the one you are referring to?  It has a tag with: part number "60713300 A".  It is already attached to "J9/Netplex 1" on the back box (fourth pic in original post).  If this is correct, is the other connector with the red and black wires unused or should it be also connected somewhere?
I do have keychip 22 to enable the printer but I guess I'll have to order a pack of ticket paper to see if it works?

Yes, that's the right jumper.  Plug connect it to the cable coming from the printer.  The second connector doesn't connect to anything. 

Yes, you'll need some paper to see if it prints correctly.

I received some ticket paper today from SPIN, ran the keychip and can now cashout to tickets.   Just ordered the Bettor TITO deluxe board for the next step.
I guess this thread can go to solved but I have one more question?
I'm guessing the two wire connector is to light the green ticket printer bezel arrow.  Is that correct and, if so is it supposed to work on a GK machine?  Aside from the screen ticket printing animation message it would be nice to see the printer give some indication that a ticket will spit out soon.

No, that other two wire connector doesn't connect to anything.  The green bezel arrow LED is connected internally to the printer.  The green arrow is normal lit solid when the printer is in the ready state and blinks on an error.  I think it also blinks when it's printing a ticket.

Hmm. the bezel arrow is never lit/flashing that I've seen?  Not a big deal though.
