Select Credit Value button not lighting up

I have an IGT s2000 Double Diamond slot machine and the “select credit value” button doesn’t light up until I press it( it still functions), and goes out right afterwards, It use to light up when the machine was powered on and stay lit up even when I wasn’t by pressing it, Then it started to flicker and now it only works when I push it, trying to figure out what’s happening? Or will the whole button give out and no longer function? Thanks

Probably just a loose bulb.

How could I tighten the bulb?

The bulb is a #73, It is called a wedge bulb. You can take off the clear plastic top part of button by placing a razor blade between side of clear button and the black outer edge a carefully pry up and when it starts to lift move to the other side of button so it comes up even. You will see the small bulb, gently push down to tighten.  This works with the large buttons also, they use a # 159 wedge bulb. Or open main door and while machine is turned off pull down on the white actuator you will see the bulb. replace the actuator by pushing back into place, you will hear a click.

It could be an LED bulb that's going bad too. You snap the white part of the button out of the black part up under the inside of the door. They can be a pain in the butt sometime to get out..
