Author Topic: Need Help With TSE TSE Board Game Setup (Read 5935 times)

Hi
I am trying to install a Time Machine game in my BB 1 1/2. I get through the whole setup, touch return to game, close the door, screen says configuring then Call Attendant. I turned the reset key and a top box non configurable error shows up. Now, I got the screen & TSE board right out of a Goldfish machine along with the pigtail. I have the 3 pigtail plugs plugged in the top box connector, not sure if the plugs on the other end are plugged in right for this game. I have a new battery and fooler card in Tse Box. This screen & Tse board does work in my Goldfish machine. Would I need a VGA from the CPU to plug in to the top in one of the VGA ports? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Make sure your harness coming from your topbox connector box is plugged into J21 on the backplane.

I don't think this has anything to do with a TSE board. If it was related you would get to the setup screen with a TOP BOX DISCONNECTED error.

During startup the top screen loads with 2 bars then stops at this.

What CF card are you using in the TSE board.

Its on a SanDisc Card, Says TSE Fooler Card, OS familyH9 27, 64 MB cf Game.
The game and os cards are WMS originals. All 3 cards came to me together.

If you bought from anpar-7659 on ebay, he seems to have an unlimited supply of bogus cards including the game you bought.

Youre correct,I forgot it would give you that error if the harness wasnt connected.That sure is one nice label for the "fooler" card.

So do we think this card is causing all the problems? If so, anybody have a WMS Original Fooler that would work?

Assume that you have 1 connection to the backplane to make the tse board to work, the J21 , no other connections. 2 connections on the TSE, the 9 pin sub and the 8 pin white molex for power. Is it still on the back of that monitor? And connected to it?

Here is a pic of the connections. Yes the Tse Board is attached to the screen. On the Pigtail Connected to the top box connection are 3 plugs, a 4 pin molex, a 10 pin molex and a 20 pin molex, ( not all pins on plugs have wires attached ). On the Tse Board side of the Pigtail are a 8 pin Molex ( with 2 Wires ), a 10 pin ( with 7 wires), and a 9 pin VGA Plug with 3 wires. Then there is a VGA jump to VGA input on the monitor. Attached is a pic. This is how I had it hooked up. If there is something that needs to be changed please let me know. The 20 pin connection, I followed it all the way down to the J21 Back plain.
I contacted person I got cards from, he's sending me out another Fooler. Probably take a week to get here. As of now, unless someone tells me to make the connections different, I'm going to wait till the new card comes. If there is a different set up, I'll give it a try. I appreciate all the response. You should only have the connections I mentioned above. Disconnect everything else and try again

If you are using this tse just as a fooler for time machine, you should not have the video connected to the monitor from the tse. The top monitor should be connected to the cpu, not tse.

And disconnect the harness from J21 to the topbox connector.
Move the tse to the bottom of the machine and connect the tse to J21

OK so I couldn't wait till tomorrow. Ran the VGA cable from CPU to top monitor, just plugged in the J21 plug, 4pin molex and WE ARE UP & RUNNING!!!
This was my first dealing with a TSE Board, always learning. Thanks to all!! Problem Solved
