VISION:SOME REQUIRED COMPONENTS NOT FOUND

Hi everyone. The machine worked until it had a low battery, I replaced it but now the message stays on Waiting for video display and the monitor has turned red and shows Some required components are not found. Any ideas? THANKS

Try reseating the MPU. That message usually has to do with the data card or SB chip. Since it worked fine before the battery change is strange. Try reseating your chips too.

Hi. I reseated everything but no result. The fan which is in the top box does not work. No power? I read about a fuse in the top box but I can't locate it.

You're lcd is working so power is good. Has to be a communication issue. Possibly data card went bad. If you have an old laptop with a reader you can check it.

I am concerned about the fan in the monitor not running. Needs that air movement to cool the heat sink. Clean all the dust off it too.

Hey guys. I don't think that the fan not working is the immediate issue. Can you verify that the fan by the LCD work prior to your issues? I'm guessing that as most people don't get that involved and the top unit if the unit is running already. Regardless the units getting power components missing indicates to me that it's a software issue. When you replace the battery did you remove any chips? I would still check all your chips to make sure that they are seated correctly and that you have no fans Thins. I would also check the pins on the back of the main board to make sure then none of them are bent. You stated that the machine worked fine until you had a low battery message. Did you change the battery on the board itself or the battery in the LCD display? Is it at all possible that you put the ATA memory card in the LCD in backwards? It's actually easily done. Bill

Did you replace the cf card in the top slot?  Side slot is for updating the o.s.

It has been the fault of one of the RAM sticks in the VISION LCD unit.

If everything the original poster stated is accurate and the machine was working fine before the low-battery are appeared. Then I really think it's got to be a simple connection issue with either you're bored, the 88 car in the top box, or a chip.
