Ease up game play for more hits or payout

I'm pretty sure I have seen this on the threads on how to ease up game play for more hits or payouts for a better home experience. Did I see that on here...I can't find it again.


My story: I pulled an early 1990's S+ out of a long storage. It was totally messed up. Started with lights out, the 12 battery then the 61 loop then DBV issues and payouts vs credits. I've had a ton of codes to resolve. I even got the bell going! All resolved with your threads. Thank you all for always being kind with responses. I know you hear the same questions over and over.

I have this one last item on my wish list then she's back in service 100%

To change the payback percentage you need to change your SS chip. You currently have 95%. It doesn't get much better. You can see your choices attached.

Ok thanks. This machine is one I would typically walk away from in a Casino because it is so tight on payouts. Was looking for a way to make it a bit more enjoyable.

My machine sucks money up with little payout which is why I asked if there was any help with entertainment factor.

You could change to SS 6295 for a 97% payback.

I doubt you will be able to detect any difference in play between the different payback percentages. Take a look at the win frequency on the attached table. The lowest payback percentage is 85% with a win frequency of 6.95   The highest payback is 97% with a win frequency of 6.48  This means you get some return on average of every 6.48 spins verses 6.95   Hardly any difference. It seems you would have to collect data over time and analyze it to distinguish a difference.


I think it is action you are looking for, more frequent wins or hits and this is more dependent on the game type. Some games have a high hit frequency and small prizes. Some have less frequent hits and larger prizes. I have a machine that seems to hit on almost every other spin though often the win is smaller than the bet. It's a very exciting machine to play though it seldom pays out large prizes.

I would love to have a game that hits more. Small is fine but this game sucks the money in then my guest to the man cave say "well that was uneventful." I'm not complaining. I brought this thing back from the dead and it was a fun process but it just doesn't have a very good personality. It's really dry and doesn't seem to like my friends.

I have 9 slots of various types. My guests favor my penny slot, a Bally Ultimate Party Spin. It has 20 pay lines and a big spin upper bonus game. It is a high action machine. It has such frequent hits it gives you the illusion of winning even when you're losing. 2nd favorite of my guests is Game King.

I'd be on the lookout for a multi-line game kit to swap in to your machine.  The multi-line games tend to have more frequent, smaller pays.  I have a 5-line, 5 Times Pay game and it's a popular one when I have people over, as it has frequent hits.

The "Holy Grail" of S+ multi-line kits is the 9-line Triple Diamond game.  Tough to find that kit, though.
