Where/How do you get game kits?

This is related to my previous post about putting an S+ kit into an S2000.


I have an S2000 roundtop set up for three reels and one pay line.  I was looking to get another game kit so I could rotate through a few games.  I was looking around on Ebay and find that they are far and few between and priced very high.  Having a roundtop limits the number available but I found a few under $100 but they were in poor condition.  There were a couple nice ones but they were about $250 delivered; that's half what I paid for my slot!


How do you acquire game kits?  I thought maybe piecing one together but it seems hard to find both the glass and the reel strips.  I saw a reasonably priced set of Triple Double Wild Cherry but couldn't find any reel strips.  I found an old ad where a guy was selling one and said he had paid $150 just for the reel strips.  Is there any happy medium between very expensive and expensive junk?


I'm looking for roundtop games that are three reel, one line, (preferably) three credit, and a lower max payout (10K or less).  I'd like the belly glass to be visually appealing and not have payout information on it.  Some of the games I've thought of are Double Diamond Deluxe, Double Mystical Mermaid, Double Wild Cherry, Haywire Deluxe, I dream of Jeannie, Tabasco, Triple Cherry, Triple Diamond Haywire, Triple Double Wild Cherry, and Wild Cherry.


Any advice on acquiring game kits at a reasonable cost?

Wow,  you have set the bar quite high, those are all highly sought after titles.  I probably have reel strips for all those games, even Haywire Deluxe,  but those are not for sale, the rest are. and some are very pricey,  the main reason for that!!  a lot of those titles had a version of reel strip that faded due to the fluorescent lighting, and they could not be cleaned, if you tried to use any liquid it would destroy the print. the later versions were "washable" and some were back lit. the later versions are hard to come by, thus the old supply and demand scenario. I have around thirty round top kits available, ranging in price from 85.00  up to 175.00 ( Jeckle & Hyde)  some of the strips are up to 75.00/100.00  per set. (these are brand new/ backlit)

from your list, I have 3c wild cherry, and 3c double wild cherry (don't have the double wild cherry belly glass, only the standard wild cherry belly)  probably back lit reel strips.
