A slant top with a funny door issue

So here I am getting another bally alpha ready, and it tells me door M is open... ok no big deal... we’ll the buttons are not responding.... I noticed one had a dried up drink spill that hit it at one time. So I yank a couple door switches that I know are good, and installed them. Still door M.


I start the game of swapping good parts. While on and swapping buttons before they were installed the door m message went away, so I’m thinking I have a short somewhere.


Can anyone tell me where door m hooks up on board, I think I need to bypass the original wiring and install new wires from the board to the switches

Don't know alot about slant tops but I would check ALL door switches, they are probably on the same line except the BV door.

So I followed the door switch wiring all the way back to a serial Female looking connector. It seems to be a short in the wiring. Kinda a head scratcher. Think it’s also time to shelf this one and see if anything is learned in the next 6 or 7 of these I have to rehab, maybe the answer will come along the way.
