NVRAM 2 battery low/ bill Val door open error

Nvram bateery 2 is low it keeps telling me in a attendant message befor e game loads.where are there batteries, are they the button batteries on the backplane. Can I replace them? Another post was saying something to the effect that the whole backplane would have to be replaced surely that isn’t true. Anybody know what size it takes? And OMG I’m starting to believe the lord just doesn’t want me to play ruby slippers ever again for my sins as a human lol.

Those are the batteries inside the MPU box. On a BB2, I believe they are the standard CR2032 types and are vertically mounted on the box.  You remove and replace both of them while you are at it.

Okay, got that fixed now I’m running into an issue that it keeps saying bill Val door open I don’t know what to do I’ve opened and closed the stacked bikes the vilaidator out and I can’t get tit to stop saying that please guys I need ideas

Ok ok guys I finally got it. I kept having to pull out the validation and click it back in. It’s a mars validate. Anyone know why it does this occasionally and how to fix?

Are you getting open stacker or bill validator door open.  If it's a stacker issue, the mars cash cans "wear out" over time, getting a newer one usually fixes the issue, if it doesn't, it means the little control board is going, and needs to be replaced.  Bill Validator door open is a switch that is activated when you close the bill validator door.  Most dealers just jumper the switch to avoid the issue.

If let’s bill Val door, for sure the stackers fine, where is the switch at so I can fix it I can’t figure it out, the door that you open to get the stacker out doesn’t look like it has a switch where is it located?
