Can I reset my credits on my S+ Double Diamond Deluxe
« on: February 26, 2019, 08:34:30 pm »
I have over 2000 credits on my IGT S+ double diamond deluxe, is there anyway to set the credits back to 0 without doing a RAM clear? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Are the 2k of credits on the display in the "Credits" window? If so, just press the 2nd button from the left on the button deck.if the game "locks up" and candle starts flashing, turn the momentary reset key on the side of the cabinet once.

If you want a  "Factory" reset machine like it came off the assembly line,
then you need a Clear chip to erase ALL data from the memory.
See list of vendors on NLG's front page and place a phone call to one of themor
place a WTB ad in the "Classifieds" section of NLG.
Someone will be glad to get you one.

thanks I will have to try that. Yes 2300 credits in the credit window. Also I can't find the white reset button that most are near the power switch. Mine doesn't have one there. There is a key on top of the main mother board assembly, but not sure what that does.

The little white button is usually in two possible places. First is up by the on/off switch just inside the door in the top right corner. Second place is back where the machines wiring plugs into the machine, see pic...

Sometimes the white button is hidden on the backside of the power switch enclosure.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

For clarification...>>>
#1. On older S+'s, the white button is located on the front of the MPU tray enclosure on the left interior wall of the machine.
It is called the Test button or Test Switch.
They also located the power switch gangbox on the floor next to the hopper.

For different model S+'s, IGT placed the MPU tray on the back wall of the machine and the power switch under the reel shelf on the right cabinet wall.
IGT located the white Test button either in front or behind the power switch gangbox.

#2. The small keyhole outside of the cabinet on the right hand side of the machine is called the Reset switch, in which you'd use a Reset Key.

#3. The keyhole on top of the MPU circuit board is for locking the tray enclosure which houses the MPU circuit board.
That's all it's for...nothing else.

Anyway, to clear your credits off of the display, just hit the credit button on the button deck and then turn the Reset key on the right side outside of the machine once momentarily
It will turn reset your credits to zero if your credit limits are set for less than 2,300 credits. (Most here set it at 1,000 credits)
If not, then you will need coins to clear all the credits out of the hopper.
or
Clear the ram chips with a Clear chip.

Pressing the Test button will do exactly nothing at the moment because the options in the machine settings cannot be changed with credits on the display.

thank you for all the responses. Yes there is a small push button behind the on/off switch box. Still a little leary on doing this credit reset. I do have a RAM clear chip but hoping to do this without having to do that.

Also on my S+ there is no (credit) button on the deck. Change, Cash Out, Bet 1 Credit

Would like info on how to set the limit to only 1000 credits. I have no idea what my machine is currently set at.

Hit the "Cash Out" button then.
Tell me what happens then I'll help you with the settings.
I already told you in Reply #5 that the machine will NOT let you make any changes until you clear the credits shown on the display panel.
One thing at a time.

Sorry for the confusion, I have a dual-use "Cash/Credit" button on my deck.
See photo below...>>>
