Setting Coin Denomination S2000

I have a S2000 3 reel Double Diamond with the Enhanced Board.  I cleared the board with a 224 chip and keyed it with a key chip 45. When I set the Accounting Denomination it programs fine to $.25 like I want, but when I go to menu 7.1.1.2 Coin Denomination, I just get 4 dashes in the VFD and the change and service buttons don’t light up to let me make a selection.  It is not a multi-Denomination machine.  Any ideas on what I may have set wrong? Thanks.

Pretty sure on a single denomination machine all you do is set the accounting denomination.

I set Accounting Denomination to $.25 and when U get out of the Key Chip menu it says “Coin Denomination Unknown” , “Door Closure M” and “Call Attendant”.

Are you starting with zero credits?

Ok when you when go to menu 7.1.1.2 Coin Denomination, and get 4 dashes press the spin reels button the two left hand buttons should then light up allowing  you to adjust the value. Press max bet to save.

If you still can't set the coin denomination, exit the key chip menu by closing and reopening the door, then go into the operator menu.
After keying the machine, you should be able to access and change the Coin Denomination through the operator menu one time after first power up.

Just one comment.  It is my personal preference to set the accounting denomination to $0.01 on all my machines and the coin denomination according to the coin used. This improves ticket interchangeability between machines with TITO. Otherwise with an accounting denomination set to $0.25, the machine will reject all tickets which are not an even $0.25 increment. A ticket from a penny or nickel machine may not be accepted in this case.

When I set the Accounting Denomination to $.01 the machines Coin Denomination would also be $.01 and would not give me the option to change it. I finally did a Clear 224 and Key 45 and then set Accounting Denomination to $.25 and it would then accept Coin Denomination to $.25.  Now to solve the Bill Validator mystery!
