BB1 Gen2 Printer Problem

Hi
Got a BB1 with a Gen2 printer with TITO. What happens is, I turn on the machine, it boots, game comes on and I can play it a while. Then if I leave it stay idle after about 15 minuets, I get either a paper out error or printer communication error. I open the door the yellow lite on the printer that says paper is on, I try to feed paper & it won't let me. I restart the machine, I can feed paper, print a ticket play a short time then let it sit idle and same thing again, error. I tried a different printer and same thing, also switched printer pigtail, same thing. Any Ideas?

Anytime I get weird things like that, I usually try power.  Do you have a spare power supply?  Both 24v and the 12/5 one?

Yes, I guess I could pull one from another machine. Which is which voltage wise, the top one and the one that sits on the bottom, and what one would you suggest I try first ?

I believe the printer uses 24volts.  I would try that first (the one just below the amp), not the ATX style power supply.

well I switched out both power supply's, same result. I then tried 2 gen1 printers, same result. I had a gen 2 printer that shows a constant paper low error, but it seems to be working now being on about 3 hours . I did notice underneath the gen 1 printers a set of dip switches. Both printers had different switches thrown, I'm wondering if there was certain dip switches needed to be set for BB or Bally or whatever type machine that could possibly caused me getting the printer to freeze up. If so, anyone know what to set them at?
