Hey Everyone, I just picked up a double diamond deluxe 3 reel machine.   I have been spending the last week on the site reading just about everything I can on it.  The only thing I couldn't figure out how to fix is the bill acceptor.  It won't accept anything but $20 bills.   On the front led panel it is all green and the 20 is orange so in my crazy mind it might be set to only accept 20?   It pulls other bills fine, just rejects them.  I have been testing with a $1 bill. 


Game info:
S+ running 731 (i believe if I did the test right)


On the bill acceptor:
DBV-200
ID-022/23
V2.51-04-03
Looks like the 1-6 pins are all set correctly (all down) and the 1-10 has the last 2 down




Any help greatly appreciated

I think 2.61 is newest.  It will never take new 5's or 100's.  Try moving all switches down.

Your BV software version should accept the new $50's and $20's and $1 bills.  It can be updated to accept the new 10's as well.   

Software for the new 5's and 100's was never released so it won't ever accept them like sixcardmark said.

Well, If I am reading your post correctly, then your switches are not set correctly.

on the 200 head, switch bank with the 10 switches determine the bills that will be accepted as well as the IDO protocol.  Switches 1 through 6 should be off,  turning them on will disable that denomination from being accepted.    all the rest shoud be off  EXCEPT  number 10, this determines the protocol to match the chips on the board.  either IDO22  or  IDO23.   on is 022   off is 023.   

the second bank of switches should be all off,  these are used in testing etc.

Well that did it, thanks gents!


Now to just figure out why the coin comparator doesn't light up or why the heck the harness looks wrong for the connector


learning a ton on these machines!

That harness is wrong.  What's the other end of it look like?  The CC doesn't lite up when door is open.
