Help, My Gameking died!

Hello, I have a Game King(pictures should help with what kind) the other night haning in the Barn listening to music and I heard a pop from the machine, smell of ozone, and quickly unplugged it. Now when I turn it on, I get "no video Connection" and no lights on the MPU. Can someone coax me along on what I may need to replace? Thanks!

sounds like the power supply died.. Not sure where your is, but it's either on the back wall behind the monitor or on the back wall on the lower part of your game.. Its a silver color box with a bunch of small vent holes.. There is a thumb screw usuall on the left end.. Loosen and slide towards the thumb screw and lift up.. Its heavy.. I see you have a message on your monitor, so that is why I am assuming it's the PS.. The power supply used in your GK is the same type used in a S2000 slot machine and other I-Games..

That is a 3902 board.  There are lots of upgrade options with that board- poker sets and I-games.  You will need a MMLII sound board for games with sound simms.

Thanks for the info on the board, I will check them out! Here are pictures of the Power Supply, no noticable damage(not that I would know what to look for), but they seem inexpensive enough to replace it, no?

I’ve never actually seen any physical damage to a bad PS when I opened them up? I must have 5-10 dead ones laying around. Maybe one day someone will figure out what dies in them? So far they are fairly cheap to replace. I try to always keep at least one spare PS in my spare parts parts bin.

the power supply only puts out three voltages, +13 vdc, a solid red wire, +25 vdc  a solid orange wire, and 7-10vdc pin 7 black wire.   what happens alot in these machines, a electronic ballast will burn up and take out the power supply, once the short is removed the power supply is usually good.  unplug the three electronic ballasts and see what happens!. the ballasts run the fluorescent lamps.  its a small enclosed box with two connectors on it, one from the power supply and the other goes to the bulb.
