WBA BV Died

Hi  (its been a while..),

BB1.5 machine working great for long time.  Turn it off for a month or so, come back, turn it on, BV no longer works.

Changed BIOS batteries, RAM Clear, Still, machine says  BillVal Com Error

The BV and stacker never initializes.  No noise, no lights.

A known working BV was replaced and it does the same thing (nothing)

An WBA Stacker/BV for IGT was inserted and it initializes but of course does not work.

What is wrong?  What happened?  How to fix this?

I’m not an expert by any means but I have had same issues with my bb2
Tried a lot of different steps to clear error
I tried a new power supply and that fixed issues
Do you have another power supply to try that

I am getting a Mars BV setup.  Hopefully that will solve the issue.     Not sure how to hook it up yet.

There are some jumpers you need move around on the left side of the backplane.

MEI solved the problem.

There is one issue outstanding.  The WBA had a button in the back that detected the presence of the cashbox.  The MEI has a hole for it but it is blocked by another piece of metal.   Not the cash door switch on the side.  Its the one on the back.   Used a piece of tape to keep the plunger down.

You can just remove the switch and jumper the wires together.
