What to do with an old chipset

I have a Super Cherry software set from my Igame 3902 board. Played great for a lonmg time, then the CGF board failed and got the error message. This board set was working so I assume that this ist he only part of the chipset not working. I tried to find just the CGF but everyone was saying the 8mb cgf were hard to come by. Anyway I ended buying a whole new chip set and I hate to throw this basically good set out. What should I do? Don't want to put on Ebay, but though the experienced guys here might have some use for it.

How did you verify that the CGF board was bad?

I dont have a chip reader or programmer, so I am only going on what the boot menu identified. And the fact that a new chipset worked. Other than that I had no way to physically test

Is there a service that will be able to see if the card is actually bad? Can they be reprogrammed?
